random OG inspiration

"I'm not like most designers who have to
set sail on an exotic getaway to get inspired.
Most of the time, it's on my walk to work,
or sitting in the subway and seeing something
random or out of context."
~Alexander Wang

How about you?
Is inspiration random for you?
Let's give RANDOM a whirl today
FOR NO GOOD REASON.
Maybe, just maybe it will tingle your jingles.

Random topiary.
omg. How is it possible that a single image
makes one want to pack it up and move
to the city?

8 Spring Pick Me Ups

Charlotte Love

O  N  E    G  I  R  L
is stoked
SPRING is HERE
and
summer's on deck.

Here are just a few pick-me-ups to keep us thriving
in this season of RENEWAL and PROMISE.

1.
Upgrade the contents of your closet.

It's the perfect time to let go of
some of the stuff you haven't
 been wearing and donate
it to a good cause.

Then stop into OG for some
great buys and replenishing!

2.
Tidy up the joint.

Organization does not have to be complicated.
A few hooks.
A couple boxes to hide the littles.
Ahhhhhhhh, that feels nice.

3.
Indulge in some fresh blooms.

Sure, we can live without them.
But bringing life and color into the
spaces we spend time is a small
act of kindness to ourselves.

4.
Join the joy ride.

Ride with the top down
and the music blaring.
If that doesn't sizzle your bacon
or make you feel ALIVE,
add ice cream.
And cotton candy as necessary!

St. James Hotel - Paris

5.
Get comfy in the boudoir.

Spring is such an awesome season to shed
the heavy duvet and pull on fresh
new sheets and pillows.

6.
Do something different with your hair.

Switch it up.
Change your part.
Chop it off or
try extenstions.

love

7.
Laugh even more everyday.

We are living in tense times.
There are all sorts of stresses
and heartaches and sucky moments
when gratitude is hard to find
and peace eludes us.
Which is why we must fight to
keep a sense of humor.
Keep deepening those laugh lines.
Keep tickling the brain
and smiling
til the
cheeks
ache.

quote

8.
Let love drive away fear.

It's risky.
It's honorable.
It looks good on you.

One Girl wishes you a prosperous spring
and a very happy weekend, friends.

Peace.

So how 'bout some free lovin' 60's
flower child inspiration to get
us all in the mood?

wild wasteland

Yeah, baby, yeahhhhhh.
Here are 7 ideas get you bloomin.

idea no. 1...WEAR A DARING LIP COLOR

Lovin this modern take on flower power
with dramatic red lips and wild hair.

idea no. 2...DARK GLASSES WORK WITH THE LOOK

One Girl is crazy about Vanessa Mooney
designed jewelry, and these next
few images were lifted from
their gorgeous blog.

idea no. 3...BRAIDS and HIPPIE SKIRTS

Both pixies and crazy long hair
were fashionable in the Sixties,
and braids pair perfectly with boho chic
clothing and prairie skirts with a hippie vibe.

idea no. 4...BE TOO LAZY TO BRAID. PIN ON A CORSAGE.

A girl doesn't always have time
for braids or styling.
This works with any length of hair, btw.

idea no. 5...STEP INTO ONE GIRL FOR FAB

We've got tons of options for wardrobe,
and a wristful of bangles will never
go out of style.

idea no. 6...COLORS OF THE RAINBOW

How boring would it be if
flowers came in just one hue???
Flower children aren't careful
about matching colors either.

idea no. 7...HEADBANDS

You've been seeing them on everybody,
and they just have fun written all over 'em.

One bonus idea for capturing flower power...
find peace within yourself so you
are able to genuinely apply it
to your daily life.
